Today we got up and ate Diana’s breakfast, and then we went down to the dock to meet our boat at 10am to Vulcano. All Elena gave us was a name and a meeting point, but there was no one there! Mom had to walk around until finally we found someone who knew the person we were looking for! Turns out no one on the boat spoke English, so when they did commentaries explaining the different rock formations and bays around Lipari we had no idea what they were saying. They let us go for a swim in one cove, so dad and Jeanine went in. The water is very salty! Afterwards we headed over to Vulcano and they literally just dropped us off and said they would be back at 1:45, 4, or 6. We were very confused because Elena had told us they would pick us back up at 1 or 5. So, once we figured out the time schedule, we were on our own to figure out Vulcano.
