We spent the morning at the beach playing soccer, beach volleyball, paddle ball and jogging in the sand. In the afternoon, we again went to the home of Abdou’s mom for another home cooked meal. Even though Couscous is a Friday tradition, Diana had requested it special for us on a Thursday while we were in town. His mom and sister spent over two hours preparing the feast which was served in the largest bowl ever seen. Again, we were to eat it with our hands. Cindy became a real pro sitting next to Abdou’s Mom observing how to roll the couscous into balls with her hand. A childhood dream, playing with her food. Norm, Diana, and Abdou were not good Moroccans as they ate with a spoon. Once again, while there were enormous portions, we somehow all managed to clean the plate.
