Up at 3:15 am to catch a 6:00 am flight out of Heathrow. We were told to be at the airport 2 hours for an international flight but they did not open up until 4:30 am. Huge lines inside but they finally started calling for our flight and we made it onto the plane. The plane change in Milan went without incident and we arrived in Casablanca around noon. Our friends Diana and Abdou met us at the airport and took us to Diana’s apartment in the city where we relaxed for awhile and had Moroccan tea. We walked around the old Medina (old city) even though we did not sleep much the night before we stayed awake and surprised ourselves. The only issue was the people washing and clanking their dishes in the other apartments at midnight. We did sleep eventually.
