Next stop was the Vrondisi Monastery to see the 15th century Venetian fountain. The road up the mountain was switchbacks so much we thought we made a 360 turn. After having 2 successful finds, we decided to brave finding the Varsamonero Monastery. We found that too after driving on dirt roads and very narrow town roads. Once we got out of the car, we noticed that the gate was locked with a padlock. Our only guess is that either they were on a field trip or forgot to pay the taxes. No one was around to let us in. Oh well, one strike out is better than yesterday.
