Cindy drove all day today to/from the Lassithi Plateau as while Norm is much better about heights, he still has a minor fear factor. He was even white knuckled, teeth clench for parts of the drive as a passenger through the incredible mountain passes (and that has nothing to do with Cindy’s ability to drive). The scenery was breathtaking and along the way Norm chose another monastery to visit. As we approached the monastery Gouverniotissas, we noticed workers in a separate small building doing construction. Since the door to the church was closed we inquired if the door could be opened for us. One of the workers responded that there is an old woman who has the key, but she is not around today. Good choice again Norm!
