We drove to the top of the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of Jerusalem. It was here that the Romans took wood for the 70 AD siege at Massada. From the top we could see all of Jerusalem, the Jewish cemetery, the Valley of Kidron(where judgement will occur upon coming of Messiah), the Hebrew University at Mt. Scopus (where Hebrew was modernized), the City of David(which was originally purchased by King David and has the only source of natural water in the city), Mt. Moriah where Abraham went to sacrifice Isaac, the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock Monument(as the furthest place in the Koran has been interpreted as Jerusalem), the Holy Sepulcher(most holy of Byzantine Jerusalem where the tomb of Jesus to exist), the new Jewish Quarter(with arches). The mix of the various religions here in Jerusalem is harmonious.
