Travel day to Tel Aviv, via Amman Jordan. We noticed that Egypt Air’s map did not include Israel, yet did include all surrounding countries. As we arrived late in the day, we just settled in the room and read the goings ons for Tel Aviv. We decided to try a restaurant named Betty Ford, which is known for their hamburgers, and Beer (of all things). The food was very good, and we observed local families celebrating their evening. The children at all the tables were the center of attention, and it was extremely fun to watch. One family even brought their dog to dinner. Then we took a taxi to a bar where we read had a jazz sax player that night. The server looked at the ad and told us it must be a misprint. No live music that night. What could we expect from a bar called “MASH (More Alcohol Served Here)? We had a drink and called it a night.
