Sept 9- Friday we flew to Yangon, Myanmar via Bangkok. Caught up on describing pictures during the long layover. Upon arrival we noticed that the men and women primarily wear longis (like sarongs) here. That way you don’t have to be concerned as to how the pants fit. Myanmar is a well developed country of 53 million people, 80% being Buddhist. The city of Yangon, formerly Rangoon(name from Britain), has a population of 5 million. We drove through Indiantown and Chinatown on the way to our hotel, Traders which is affiliated with the Shangri La chain. Very nice.
