Sept 1- We visited the temple Doi Sutep and were blessed by a monk. He sprinkled so much water on us we needed and umbrella and then gave us a yarn bracelet as a good health/luck sign. As monks are not allowed to touch women, he gave it to a worker who put Cindy’s on her arm. This temple is built on the highest mountain in Chiang Mai. Unfortunately, the clouds surrounded the mountain the entire time we were on it. It was also raining. On the way there we saw coconut sugar being made from trees on the grounds. It makes a really sweet sugar and quite a good pancake.
