Reading info our guide, Ohnmar gave us we learned that there are no ATM’s and that credit cards were banned last year. We might have our hands out next to the beggars. We also are unable to call using our World calling card here. We were told that there is no longer internet in the rooms, government will not allow, so only business center, but no hotmail. So we are not sure if any e-mails can be sent, maybe in Vietnam.
It appears in talking with Ohnmar that it is US sanctions that lead to credit cards being banned a year ago. Guess we will have to do some research on that.
